Short Term registrations of vessels are allowed under special circumstances.
During the duration of the registration, the vessel should comply with all maritime safety regulations unless exemptions are approved by the Registry.
Short Term Registration is valid for 1 month and automatically expires after that. However, extension will be considered on a case-by-case if valid reasons can be provided to the Registry.
Short Term Registration
Documents to be submitted via fax/email:
- Application Form K1
- Declaration of Ownership Form K2
- Accounting Authority Appointment Letter (if applicable)
- Owner’s Certificate of Good Standing
- Notarised Copy of Owners’ Representative passport
Certificates to be submitted:
- Notarised Bill of Sale (BOS) or Builder's Certificate (for new vessels)
- Existing Certificate of Registry
- Existing Min. Safe Manning (if applicable)
- Existing Ship Radio Station Licence (if applicable)
- Existing Continuous Synopsis Record file (if applicable)
- Existing International Tonnage Certificate
- Existing SOLAS Certificates (where applicable)
- Existing MARPOL Certificates (where applicable)
- Existing Load Line Certificate (if applicable)
The following certificates will be issued upon confirmation that application is in order and receipt of payment:
- Provisional Certificate of Registry
- Provisional Minimum Safe Manning Certificate (if required)
- Provisional Ship Station Licence (if required)
- Special Voyage Permit
